The Aktif NPM series energy analyser is designed to monitor power quality and measure energy consumption in electrical systems. By accurately measuring electrical parameters, energy analysers provide the necessary data to ensure the proper functioning of power systems.

As Aktif Elektroteknik, we aim to ensure reliability and sustainability in your systems by monitoring basic parameters such as voltage, current, active, reactive, and apparent power in real time and performing energy quality analysis, in addition to meeting all your needs with our NPM series panel-type energy analysers.

NPM Series Panel-Mounted Energy Analysers are used to measure basic power parameters such as current, voltage, power, power factor, frequency, harmonics, etc., and to perform energy measurements. With their large seven-segment LED displays, they can be easily viewed even in low-light environments or from a distance.

The measured parameters can be displayed on the screen and also transmitted to SCADA and energy management systems via various communication interfaces. The supported communication interfaces and protocols include RS485 Modbus-RTU, Ethernet Modbus-TCP, Profibus, and Lon-Works.

Some versions of devices with Ethernet-enabled Modbus-TCP protocols also include an internal web server. This allows remote access to the device using only a web browser, without the need for any management software, enabling real-time and historical measurements to be viewed.

NPM Panel-Mounted Energy Analysers can be connected to industrial PLCs by providing analogue outputs or pulse outputs for energy consumption in addition to communication outputs.

Optional models with digital inputs allow separate tracking of energy consumption from the grid and generator. By connecting a reference cable from your generators to the analyser's tariff change input, the analyser can detect when the generator is running, and energy consumption during this period can be recorded separately as generator consumption.

What do energy analyzers do?

NPM series analyzers measure voltage, current, active/reactive/apparent power, frequency, power factor, and THD up to the 63rd harmonic component. While displaying this data on an LCD screen, they can also transfer it to SCADA/energy management systems via Modbus-RTU or Ethernet TCP/IP.

In which sectors are panel-type energy analyzers preferred?

It can be used in both commercial and industrial dosages at critical energy consumption points such as factory panels, shopping malls, marinas, residences, hospitals, and energy management systems.

What are the advantages of Active NPM series energy analyzers over other analyzers?

  • High Sensitivity: Provides reliable measurements with 0.5s / Class 1 accuracy.
  • Two-Way Measurement: Provides advantages in renewable energy applications by monitoring imported and exported energy simultaneously.
  • Flexible Communication: Can be directly integrated into SCADA/AMR systems with Modbus RTU and Ethernet.
  • Compact & Modular: Ready for PLC integration with 96×96 mm panel and 290‑5G / 290‑5J series digital input/output.

This reduces installation costs and directly improves energy efficiency through comprehensive data analysis.

When should I add the energy analyzer to the panel?

If you need to monitor your energy data or comply with energy management standards such as ISO 50001, installing an NPM analyzer when commissioning a panel or launching efficiency programs is a strategic step.

How to install and connect energy analyzers?

It can be easily mounted on 96×96 mm panel holes. Current/voltage transformers are connected, and it is integrated into the SCADA system via a Modbus RTU or Ethernet cable. The digital I/O module connects to the PLC, and the front panel menu is used for configuration without software.
