Geothermal resources are briefly ground heat, which is the hot water, steam, and gases that contain chemicals that accumulate at various depths of the earth’s crust. In Geothermal Power Plants, geothermal sources are transformed by turbine and electric energy is obtained. Geothermal energy is a new, renewable, sustainable, inexhaustible, cheap, reliable, environmentally friendly, domestic and green primary energy source. Geothermal Power Plants are amortizing themselves within six years after they are taken into operation.

Çelikler Geothermal Power Generation Inc. is the main contractor based on the license areas of 3408.25 ha in Aydin geothermal power plant’s installed capacity is 22,51 MWe.

At Sultanhisar Geothermal Power Plant; a total of 8 Aktif brand SNC-1 series metal clad switchgears were used, 1 input swg. with VT, 6 transformer swg, 1 metering swg. with CT & VT.
