Description

The railway system constructed for access to EXPO was introduced during the opening ceremony held in Antalya.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has constructed 19 kilometers long rail system for access to EXPO 2016 area in a very short period of 5 months with the support of Ministry of Transportation. Aktif Group has the main role in construction of all Traction Power systems and switching equipments of this 19 kilometers long line.

Aktif Group produces MV Switchgears its own factory located in Ankara, that is distributed to Traction and auxiliary transformers completed especially with Tesar who is one of the world leaders in the railway systems. COET – FRIEM Group’s broad product of Traction Rectifiers and DC Switchgears which one of the most important equipment, has been used in Antalya Railway Project of substation. COET is one of shareholders in Ankara Factory of Aktif Group.

So Aktif has been in the whole project from MV to catenary energy distribution. At the end of the route for rail system transports will be located a warehouse and a maintenance station and on this part the supply systems undertake by Aktif Group.

Aktif brand was preferred in Compensation Systems for 2nd Stage similarly to Antalya 1st Stage Rail Systems. Thus, compensation requirement of Antalya 2nd Stage Rail Systems will be fulfilled by 1500 kVAR Shunt Reactor System.
