DHL, one of the most important courier companies in the world, signed the 20,000 square meter Express Cargo Regional Hub at Istanbul New Airport.
DHL Express preferred to supply metal clad cells that can be applied inside Prefabricated Concrete Substation from Aktif Mühendislik in the energizing of this regional center. In the substation, 2 Prefabricated Concrete Substation, 4 Metal Clad switcgear offers very high opportunities in terms of service continuity.
The regional operations center, which is prepared to open with the products supplied by us, will be able to offer 24-hour uninterrupted logistics to Asia, Europe and the Middle East, with night flights that are not available in many places.
EXPECTATIONS
Berko Construction Company, which took over the construction work of the DHL cargo center, which is being invested in the Logistics and Cargo Center of IGA Istanbul airport, which is known as the 3rd Airport, had undertaken the Electric Contracting business to Innova Elektrik.
Innova company wanted to realize with us the optimum solution by requesting the necessary products and engineering services for the establishment of a substation by sharing this project single line and specifications.
The solution and application to be presented on this matter should also be in accordance with the IGA operation, DHMI and project specifications, and Tedaş MYD. It should not have left both the electrical contractor and the construction contractor in a difficult situation to energize the plant and operate smoothly for many years.
APPLICATION
In the project, it was requested to bring 2 1600 kVA dry type transformer and distribution cells to the facility appropriately.
In addition, according to the continuity of service specifications and list of conditions Metal Clad Type Switchgear was needed, although it has larger sizes.
On the other hand, there was not any transformer room and distribution center in the main building
For this reason, the structure which includes power transformer , MV Switchgears, LV panels and generator syncronzation panel, become a necessitty.
Since a transformer building to be reconstructed will be quite costly, it has been informed that the prefabricated kiosks produced by Aktif Group company can be made in desired dimensions.
At the same time, this solution was focused on because, our Aktif Branded 36kV metal clad switchgears can be used in this prefabricated structure.
Alternative layout plans were made at meetings with the company. According to Tedaş myd, transformers up to 2500kVA can be applied in prefabricated kiosks. As it was seen that 2 transformers of 1600 kVA exceeded this power, it was decided to apply two transformers in two separate kiosks despite increasing the cost.
CONCLUSİON
As a result of various alternative studies, the facility has attained an energy center where 2 dry-type transformers and 4 OG metal clad switchgears,, syncranization panels and various LV panels are combined in 2 same sizes prefabricated kiosks. Service continuity was ensured thanks to LSC2B products in this facility. The claim of being a logistics center for 24 hours has further strengthened with this small investment.
