Körfez Döküm was unable to derive benefits from the existing compensation system in terms of energy and cost efficiency. The production facilities faced costs and energy inefficiencies associated with both inductive and capacitive reactive charges. To avoid continuous reactive charge payments and to facilitate operational system monitoring, the company had to assign staff, leading to labor losses.
As Aktif Elektroteknik, we integrated next-generation Static Var Generator (SVG) systems that allowed Körfez Döküm to perform bidirectional compensation, effectively preventing losses associated with reactive charge costs. The facility’s meter readings are now well below penalty limits, and the plant’s concerns have been alleviated. As a result of the project, an energy and cost efficiency improvement of has been achieved.
