ONKO Pharmacy is the one of the biggest medicine producer in Turkey. Medicine production is very important and sensitive job and lots of chemical technologies are used in the process. For that reason system must operate perfectly and continuously. Power network system is one of the system parts and because monitoring network is very important for production health, they chose Aktif.

In power network systems there are lots of parameters like voltage/current, energy consumptions and power factor to be monitored instantly and recorded historically. One of the biggest problem is harmonics on voltage and current. For that demands, PEM333 device with serial communication was chosen as network analyzer. These devices measures and calculates main parameters like voltage, current, power factor as well as special parameters like Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). These features guide technical departments what is going on at the system. Energy consumptions of production lines, harmonic distortion problems on the system, voltage sag/swells are some of them.

In this application, high technology Germany origin Bender PEM series analyzers and Actwin Smart energy management software combined with Aktif Mühendislik experience to get the most functional energy monitoring system for ONKO Pharmacy.

According to these needs, 54 pieces Bender PEM333 are used as network analyzer. RS485 is used for communication network between these analyzers. As you know, daisy chain connection type is used in RS485 communication. Four loops were designed and PEM333 analyzers are installed to measurement points. With serial device servers, RS485 loops are converted to Ethernet and communication infrastructure is completed.

Onko Pharmacy trusted Actwin Smart and using it as the energy management software. With reporting and analyzing features, Actwin Smart is the heart of the system. Easy-understandable and user customizable interface helps users adapt the system with ease. Users can prepare their own report types and add to their Actwin Smart software interface. Also, for instantaneous monitoring of measurements, users may prepare customizable views with background pictures like in SCADA applications. Recorded measurements and historical reports helps operators to take proactive solutions for probable problems that may occur in the future.
