Energy Management Systems

The basics of the energy management system are based on measurement, monitoring, control, and estimation. The term Energy Management System is defined a computer system which is designed specifically for the automated control and monitoring of the heating, ventilation and lighting needs of a building or group of buildings such as university campuses, office buildings or factories (almost all nonresidential buildings). Most of these energy management systems also provide facilities for the reading of electricity, gas and water meters. The data obtained from these can then be used to generate energy analysis and annual consumption forecasts.

Increasing production and consumption requirements to use more and more energy day by day. Besides, fast development in technology makes power quality both more important and hard to achieve, especially after semi-conductor usage increased dramatically. Based on this, energy management requirements have arisen.

Energy management requirements,

  • What are the energy management needs of the facility?
  • What are the controls requirements to meet those needs?
  • Does the existing energy management system meet the controls requirements?

Aktif Elektroteknik offers solutions to these basic issues that constitute energy management requirements with measurement devices, communication devices, energy management software (OSOS, NDM) and engineering services.
