Active Data Center Load Banks are used to simulate server temperature increases and temperature rises during cooling system failures. 19″ Load Banks, known as Data Center Simulators, are manufactured to fit 19″ rack cabinets.

With big data and digitalization, the number and importance of data centers is increasing. Many critical information, from our websites to our production information, are located in our data centers.

For this reason, data centers are the leading facilities that cannot tolerate power outages or malfunctions. In data centers, it must be tested before commissioning whether the system operates at the planned electrical and cooling values.

Load banks offer practical approaches to testing and maintenance of power and cooling systems in data center facilities.

Today, load banks are used during the commissioning, maintenance, expansion and product replacement of most modern data centers.

A typical Datacenter consists of the following components;

  • Power transformer
  • Generators
  • UPS system
  • Server Rack cabinets

Generators and UPS system can be tested with our higher power fixed or mobile load banks. Because the testing of generator and UPS systems includes only power testing and there is no need for heat simulation, high power load banks in a single cabinet are sufficient.

When we want to simulate the power and heat emitted by Server devices in the room where the Server Rack cabinets are located, Rack Mounted Data Center load banks that are distributed in the Rack cabinets and are power and mechanically compatible with these cabinets are used. In this way, computer room air conditioning and cooling system capacity tests can be performed accurately. These load bank solutions simulate real conditions so that the performance of this system can be tested.

Aktif’s LBR 19'' Rack Mount Data Center Load Banks are used to simulate the temperature increase in the data halls of servers and / or the duration of temperature increase during cooling system failure.
